Fogo Island Arts
Thanks to an ongoing partnership with Fogo Island Arts and the generous contributions of our patrons, the Foundation provides an opportunity each year for a young Canadian curator to work in residence for one month at Fogo Island Arts, a contemporary arts venue in Newfoundland.
The McGill Schulich School of Music
Since 2018, graduate conducting students at the Schulich School of Music are eligible to receive a substantial grant of $15,000 – the Hnatyshyn Foundation - Christa and Franz-Paul Decker Fellowship in Conducting.
The Harrison McCain Foundation (2015-2018)
Thanks to the generosity of the Harrison McCain Foundation and in collaboration with The Banff Centre, the Emerging Atlantic Artist Residency provided emerging visual artists from Atlantic Canada the opportunity to create new work within the inspiring surrounds of The Banff Centre over a period of eight weeks. The mission of the Harrison McCain Foundation is to honour the wishes of its founder and benefactor, Harrison McCain, CC, ONB, by giving charitable financial support to primarily Atlantic Canadian post-secondary educational institutions through scholarships and bursaries, and to community organizations, the Arts, Culture, Health and Sciences.
TD Bank Group (2013-2019)
From 2013 to 2019, The Hnatyshyn Foundation and TD Bank Group Awards for Emerging Curator of Contemporary Canadian Art and Emerging Visual Artist of $10,000 were made possible with the generous assistance of the TD Bank Group. This national awards were given annually to support an emerging curator under the age of 35.
TD Bank Group invests in communities in order to affect positive change in the places where it operates and where its customers and employees live and work. In 2014, TD donated more than $82 million to community organizations in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. In Canada, TD focuses on education and financial literacy, creating opportunities for young people and the environment.
La Fondation Arte Musica, Montreal Museum of Fine Arts
Under the terms of a partnership established in 2013, La Fondation Arte Musica presented one or more young musicians selected from among the recipients of The Hantyshyn Foundation Developing Artist Grants to perform at a concert at Bourgie Hall in Montreal.
